Formally know as the Montgomery Flyiing Club, the name to changed to the Jack Dunn Flying Club in late 2011.
The club was founded in 2008 by Jack Dunn, Ron Diamond and John Jung who as co-owners of Cessna N64892 thought it was time to open up the plane to ownership to up to 10 pilots as a club.
The Montgomery area has no other flying clubs around and the idea of creating the Montgomery Flying seemed to fit a need that needed to be filled.
It was also decided that this idea would also give pilot friends and owners a chance to support each others flyings endeavors and give social and educational opportunites not offered in any other flying environment at an affordable price.
We lost our dear friend and mentor "Capt" Jack Dunn in 2011. Jack was a CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) in private, instrument, dual engine and insturment dual engine for many years and thousands of hours. Most of the current members in the club have been taught by Jack at some point in their flying endeavors.
At the end of 2011 the membership decided to change the name of the club from the Montgomery Flying Club to the Jack Dunn Flying club in honor of our friend, pilot, mentor and instructor "Capt" Jack Dunn.
We invite any pilot wishing to inquire about becoming an owner in the club to contact us and let us share with you the fun and excitement you can have with us!
