Aero Association of Caltech/JPL
elcome to the home page of the Aero Association of the California Institute of Technology (AACIT). We are a non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion of interest in general aviation in the community of the California Institute of Technology. We are informally known as the Caltech / JPL Flying Club, since most of our members are students and employees at the California Institute of Technology
and Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Our fleet of eight single-engine airplanes is based at El Monte, California
. We feature competitive rental and instruction rates, and we have a limited number of Associate Member
spaces open for those not affiliated with Caltech or JPL.
AACIT is a private flying club, not a flight school, and we therefore do not offer classes or regular enrollment for flight training. Information on joining AACIT can be found here
. Also see the compilation of Frequently Asked Questions
for beginning and prospective pilots.
